Anyone here likes Muse?
Guys, what do you think about Muse new album to be released on September 14 and 15?
Talking like a Muse fan I didn't liked the Mark Stent's "poppyfied" mixing, to me makes a little but nototrius difference between their past albums and this one. but at least the essence of the band's music is in there (at least on my humble opinion)
Talking like a old school classical crossover fan, it is just me or this album can be, in some minuscule percentage, considerated "crossover"?
Obviously, like in their past realises, they used some musical influences from progressive rock, Queen, or even baroque music. But in n this new album also includes excerpts directly taken from pieces like Nocturne In E-Flat Major, Op.9 No.2 by Frédéric Chopin; "Mon cœur s'ouvre à ta voix" aria from the opera Samson and Delilah by Saint-Saëns; and the inclusion of "Exogenesis", a symphony on three movements composed by band's leader Matthew Bellamy (too much classical music to me for a rock album).
Bellamy descrribed the album, in interview on March, as "a symphonic album" and joking that "We'll be knocking on Classic FM's door".
I heard the album on iLike site, I found it good, the only thing I can't get in is the first single "Uprising" I didn't liked. I prefer others tracks, like "Resistance".
¿What do you think about it?
